EEX welcomes Evonik Steag as new generation data provider: Today, Evonik Steag has started to provide generation data for its German operations to the platform “Transparency in Energy Markets“. EEX welcomes Evonik Steag as 13th data provider for the statutory publication requirements.

Essen based Evonik Steag operates coal-fired power plants at eight sites in Germany, refinery power plants at two locations and a variety of facilities to generate energy from renewable resources. Data for 4,893 MW installed capacity is directly reported to the transparency platform by Evonik Steag since today.

Due to this contribution, the coverage rate of the transparency platform increases from 80.53 to 83.74 per cent.
