EEX welcomes Grenzkraftwerke GmbH as new generation data provider: Today, Grenzkraftwerke GmbH has started to voluntarily provide generation data to the platform “Transparency in Energy Markets“. EEX welcomes Grenzkraftwerke GmbH as second company from Austria which joins the platform after its extension to Austria in July. That brings the total number of companies reporting directly or indirectly in the joint market area of Germany and Austria to 39.

Grenzkraftwerke GmbH operates generation facilities of 674 MW with power in-feed in Germany (TenneT) and Austria (APG). Grenzkraftwerke GmbH takes on the report of transparency data for powerplants formerly reported by E.ON Wasserkraft GmbH, which achieved the end of reporting on 30 November 2011. The degree of coverage in the voluntary section of Germany is now consistent with 42.01 per cent and changes for Austria from 67.33 to 69.10 per cent.
